No. Unlock requires the password you already know; Paperly never cracks protection.
A note on scope: v1.0 ships 4 tools (merge, compress, photos→PDF, image convert); split, rotate, lock/unlock, watermark, resize, and OCR arrive in v1.1. There’s no PDF→editable Word/Excel/PPT and no AI features — both would require a server, which would break the on-device promise.
