It also works for you after the fact — proactively alerting you before a product warranty expires (“your iPhone’s 1-year warranty ends in 30 days — here’s the receipt”), turning a forgotten photo into real money saved. Everything stays on your device; the only thing that ever leaves is the receipt image, sent once to an AI service to read it. Search across merchant, notes and amount, and export everything as a CSV plus a zip of images whenever you need it. Does Receipt Keeper connect to my bank?
No. It never touches your bank or accounts. You snap receipts; that’s the only data it has.
Do my receipts leave my phone?
Only the photo of a receipt is sent once to an AI service to read it; nothing is stored on a server and there are no accounts.
How do warranty alerts work?
When the AI detects a product likely to have a warranty, it sets a reminder 30 days before it expires; you can adjust or turn it off per receipt.
Can I get my data out?
Yes — export everything as a CSV plus a zip of your receipt images, anytime.
A note on limits: AI extraction accuracy depends on photo clarity — unreadable receipts can be edited manually. Warranty periods are estimated (12 months electronics, 24 months appliances/furniture) and should be verified against the actual product warranty. And because data is on-device only, it does not sync across devices in v1.
