Agreement
Approved is provided by Kalpiko Labs, a one-person indie app studio. By downloading or using Approved, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please don’t use the app. These terms apply only to the Approved mobile app for iOS and Android.
License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Approved on devices you own or control, for your own personal and family use. You may not rent, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app.
Purchases
Approved is free to use: you get unlimited shooting, the full compliance verdict, and a watermarked preview (rate-limited to roughly 15 checks per day per device to prevent abuse). To export a final, watermark-free, print-ready file, you make a one-time in-app purchase:
- Single photo — $2.99 (₹99): one final exported photo; retake as many times as you like until you export.
- Family pack — $7.99 (₹199): 10 photos that never expire, for personal & family use; restorable on your devices. (“Most popular”.)
One-time payment. No subscription. Ever. There is no auto-renewal and nothing recurring to cancel. Prices are charged in your local currency and may vary by region and over time; the exact price is always shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.
All purchases are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Previously purchased items can be brought back with Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by Kalpiko Labs — see our Support page for how to request one.
Accuracy & acceptance
Approved checks your photo against each country’s published guidelines and flags anything risky. It meets published country guidelines; final acceptance is at the issuing authority’s discretion. Compliance checking is deliberately conservative — borderline photos are flagged for retake rather than passed — and the one-time check requires an internet connection. We can’t guarantee that any photo will be accepted by a government or other issuing body.
Acceptable use
Please use Approved lawfully and reasonably. You agree not to misuse or abuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract its source code, interfere with its normal operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose or to misrepresent your identity.
Intellectual property
Approved, including its name, design, code, and content, is owned by Kalpiko Labs and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The license above does not transfer any ownership rights to you. Photos you create with the app remain yours.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Approved is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make it reliable and its guidance accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or correct for a particular document or situation.
To the extent permitted by law, Kalpiko Labs will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including a photo being rejected by an issuing authority. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Approved in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Approved at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and governing law — continue to apply after termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the place where the developer is established.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use Approved after an update means you accept the revised terms.
